HELIX - THE EXPERTS FOR AXIAL THREAD ROLLING
COMPACT AND USER-FRIENDLY: YOUR BENEFITS FOR AXIAL THREAD ROLLING

When thread rolling with the HELIX systems from Wagner Tooling Systems, the thread form is produced by cold forming the material. Very high pressure causes permanent plastic deformation of the material. The thread rolls displace the
material from the thread core and allow flow in the direction of the thread crests. The grain structure is not interrupted but only displaced. The result is a thread with high strength, profile and dimensional accuracy.
The HELIX axial thread rolling systems are available in three different sizes and different designs and can be used to produce threads from M6 – M22 bzw. 1/4" – 7/8". With the HELIX systems you have a clear advantage thanks to the easy handling of the flange-shank interface and the simple and cost-effective replacement of wear parts. The additional closing device available for all stationary HELIX systems saves time. This is easy to install and shifts the closing time from the process time to the non-productive time.

BENEFITS:
1. FLANGE – SHANK INTERFACE
• Sturdy fastening of the exchangeable mounting shanks
• Shanks for all common machine interfaces
• Reliable torque transmission and high runout accuracy
2. HELIX WITH CLOSING DEVICE AND SHANK
• Easy assembly between rolling system and shank
• Defined installation position for error-free assembly (positioning pin)
• All shanks can still be used
• Closing process is shifted from process time to non-productive time
3. DLC-COATING
• Maximum wear protection for tribologically highly stressed components such as front and base plate, spring housing and flange
• Increased tool life
• Protection against corrosion and other chemical wear
4. OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM
• Easily replaceable wear parts
• Separable interface
• Cost-effective, as only the locking plate and locking bolts need to be replaced as wearing parts
5. CLOSING RING
• 360° continuously adjustable range
• Existing interface for optional closing roll
